This print was originally made for the 2023 Connect Collect Print Exchange as an 11” x 11” screenprint. Due to the overwhelming positive response, I re-printed the images as a paper edition. This third edition is 12.5 ” x 12.5”, 12” x 12”, or 11” x 11” (bleed print)
We Always Come Back Together is an ode to queer friendships and inspired by my queer community near and far. It captures joy, abundance, gossip, and love. The scene depicts an outdoor dessert and drink hangout with old friends in New Orleans. Snacks and beverages cover the table, including pavlova topped with peaches and raspberries, loquat infused mezcal, seltzers, and baked goods. The flowers above are southern magnolias and the flowers below are gardenias, both fragrant and found on our flower smelling tour of the neighborhood.
