FIERCE FLAMBOYANCE is a 10 color screenprint, measuring 12.5” x 18.5”, printed on French Paper at Lavender Estero Studio in Pittsburgh, PA in June 2023.
A flock of flamingos is called a flamboyance. When a flamingo is in threat, the flamboyance comes together to protect the flamingo in danger.
Besides being one of my favorite birds, this phenomena made me think of the many queer and trans communities, and how we show up better for each other better than anyone else.
